  1. FivePD 2.0 Announcement Hello everyone, Firstly we would like to thank everyone for their patience! We know it's been hard waiting for such an improvement on the FivePD addon; our goal is always to give you the best end-product possible! Secondly, we would like to give a birthday wish to FivePD, who turns two years old today! Tremendous shoutout to the GTAPoliceMods Development Team on creating a long lasting addon, and one that so many people enjoy on a day-to-day basis. Many communities thank you for your hard work and dedication over the past two years! Here's to many more! Now, without further adieu, we're happy to announce the development of FivePD 2.0 - in this article we'll be covering the new FivePD, and how it is coming along; don't worry, a "new coat of paint" isn't the only thing that's changing! Recap Just in case you missed our last update in November, during the peak-COVID craziness; we announced that the GTAPoliceMods Development Studios made the decision to rework the framework and thusly the addon itself. This decision was one that would have been made in the future regardless, but sooner is always better than later. This rework enables the team to bypass limitations from existing code, expand on future ideas & possibilities, and continue the continuity of FivePD for the future. Developers and API Overhaul Kicking this off with a huge stride in the right direction. Gone is FivePD the "addon" and a massive HELLO to FivePD the platform. With these changes to the framework among the other improvements is the overhaul of the development tools and our developer API. This will enable developers and server owners to build more freely with the platform as opposed to be confined/restricted. (Don't worry! It's not overly complex/robust, unless you want it to be!) Access to the underlying systems for your community's developers will be greater than ever, in any previous version! Performance and Stability Not only have we been making strides, but so have the FiveM/Cfx Team. FivePD 2.0 is designed from the ground up to take advantages of the latest additions/improvements to FiveM itself. So what does this mean exactly? Well, not only are the opportunities greater, but so will be the stability and performance on not only the server, but also the client as well! As an added bonus to you technical folk, we've been able to utilize "proper entity state" and "migration awareness"! Wow! (I don't know what it means but FiveTwelve was sure happy about it, so that's good right?! Right? Oops!) Control about Control The team has been reworking on the control systems with in the game as well. These series of changes will facilitate players AND developers to find it easier to accomplish tasks and actions with FivePD itself and community contributed addons! Who doesn't love more control? Talking about control, we're moving on to how you and your players control FivePD within the game itself, we've changed the way players interact with FivePD to provide a more cohesive flow when playing. Things will definitely be shuffled, moved, or swapped; don't worry - you'll get the hang of it! This does mean fewer menus, or opening new menus; but worry not - you won't need to scroll through one long 7 page menu either! Moving off of players and on to the developers, the menus within FivePD will also have expanded API for developers to use them on top of it! Future Updates & Planning Ahead! We know that's a lot to take in, but here's the icing on the proverbial cake! In addition to everything mentioned, you can expect more consistent updates from the Development Studios; not only for bug fixes, but expansions on content, feedback, and community suggestions. This reworked codebase will allow the team for more rapid changes, instead of needing to go back and change old code to make way for new/improved changes. We cannot stress how important your feedback and suggestions are, which is a key part in taking this jump. Being able to honor your requests/suggestions/feedback in a manner that is true to it; more so than with the previous versions of the addon. Most Importantly.... Your feedback This feature is a most important one to us, so special it probably needs it's own article just to capture it's greatness! Which it will get! Please keep your eyes peeled for that! The team has also been hard at work on creating a new Bug Report and Suggestion System, this will enable the community to provide feedback; and enable us and the team to capture your ideas/feedback/reports more effectively so that your voices can be heard! That is what FivePD is all about: You. For now, sit back and relax while the team continues to tinker away and make strides to the above! We promise, the reworked product is in sight. More information such as screenshots, sneak peeks, VIP insight articles and future public articles, will be here very soon. As always, you can receive additional updates on Discord or our Twitter account! -- FivePD Team and the rest of the GTAPoliceMods Team

Distribution of anyone's personal information without their consent is not only a violation of our Community Guidelines, but also violation of many countries' laws. GPM has a Zero Tolerance Policy on this issue. You can review our policies as per usual on the GPM Help Doc: Unfortunately, a prominent member of the GTA Modding Community; Redneck, was involved/had knowledge of this occurring within his organization. To prevent further violations of this the Management Team and Community Administrators have felt that the actions required termination of his account, as well as a few other parties involved. If you know of anyone in violation of this Community Guideline, please report them under the "Member Tips" department at support.gtapolicemods.com. We may/will take involvement in these circumstances, as it is a serious issue.

  4. Version 1.5.1

About FivePD FivePD is a unique FiveM game mode made by GTAPoliceMods Development Studios, where players play as a law enforcement officer within a FiveM server that has the FivePD game mode. Development for FivePD was first started in December of 2019 by Natixco and Daniel K. However in January of 2020, GPM acquired FivePD and teamed up with both of the founders to continue the fantastic work. FivePD's goal is to be similar to the single-player mod 'LSPD:FR'; however, FivePD offers a unique way for you, your friends, or community to play all together as law enforcement officers. The thrill of performing traffic stops, arresting AI, responding to 911 calls, and other action-packed content is now available for FiveM Important! All information that you need to know is in the PDFs in the downloaded ZIP/RAR file. Please read them carefully before asking! They can be found on the forums as well as here.
