Hello GPM Community! 

As we continue to progress through the first quarter of the year, the updates for the community continue to roll in. This edition of the newswire focuses heavily on changes within GPM that reinforce our mission to support developers and foster a more developer-centric community.

Developers are at the heart of innovation within the GTA community, driving creativity, expanding possibilities, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. To further recognize their impact, we are introducing a new Special User Group: Verified Developer. 

This designation is designed to highlight and support developers who actively contribute to the community through their projects, technical expertise, and collaboration. Whether they create game-enhancing frameworks and scripts/tools; provide valuable resources such as 3D Models like vehicle assets or MLOs; or create 2D Assets like EUPs, textures, or liveries - this new user group allows us to recognize a wider range of developers who are making meaningful contributions while providing a clear path for further growth and recognition within the community. Verified Developers will sit "below" Distinguished Developer, which remains unchanged as a title of distinction for those who have demonstrated immense contributions to the GTAPoliceMods.com modification base. 

How do I become a Verified Developer?

1. Complete all relevant "Profile Completion" steps (Verify Email, Profile Photo, Link Discord, etc).
2. Publish your first download to the GPM Website.
3. Head over to the Support Center on the GPM Discord, and select "Special User Group Request", complete the associated form, and someone from the GPM Community Administration or Management Teams will reach out to you shortly. 

What are the perks to becoming a Verified Developer?

• Special User Group on the GTAPoliceMods Website 
• Highlighted role within the GPM Discord
• Exclusive channel with other Verified Developers and GPM Staff
• Ability to list your Development Discord on your GPM Profile
• Enhanced upload permissions within the downloads section
• Ability to create additional gallery images

Right before Christmas time, we had collected some of the existing Distinguished Developers' feedback about the criteria for this Special User Group. As a result of that - we've made an alteration to the criteria to make it more relevant towards specific types of developers.
