Support Center Transition & Lead Web Developer
Hello GPM Community!
We hope you've all had a relaxing holiday break, catching up with friends and family, and perhaps even getting involved in some of your own projects. It's been some time since our last newswire update, since before the holidays, but never fear, we've been working hard in the background to bring you the latest updates and improvements to GTAPoliceMods. As always, we appreciate your enthusiasm and support, and we're happy to bring you up to speed on what's been happening in the community. This newswire entry will mention some of the key developments we've seen lately, but look for another update soon (perhaps one in a different category)!
After careful consideration, we've opted to retire our legacy Support Center (support.gtapolicemods.com). This process has been ongoing for a few weeks now, and we're phasing out the old system in favor of our new Discord-based Support Center. Why the change? The change to Discord for support inquiries has been far more successful, delivering real-time dialogue and quicker response times from our team members, instead of relying on email based notifications. We've seen improved communication and an improved overall support experience for our community members in the short time since we've used this system. While our legacy Support Center will no longer be accepting new support tickets, any tickets already submitted before the cutover will still be worked on and completed. All new support requests, however, should now be directed to our Discord server in the "#contact-us" channel.
This change is aimed at making the support process more efficient, so that questions and issues get addressed quickly. Also, since GTAPoliceMods continues to grow and expand, especially with our In-Progress projects, this new support system will allow us to scale properly and handle more support requests. We are committed to delivering a high level of service to our community, and this is a significant step in that direction.
The GPM Management Team is also pleased to announce that @XdGoldenTiger has been promoted to the position of Lead Website Developer. This is a well-deserved recognition of his efforts, dedication, and expertise in developing the GTAPoliceMods website. In this new role, GoldenTiger will be responsible for the most part in keeping our website updated and any future enhancements for our community. His efforts have already had a significant impact, and we have no doubt that with him at the helm, the site will continue to grow and evolve.
As always, we invite all community members to give us feedback and suggestions for the site. If you have any recommendations for new features or improvements, feel free to let us know using the new Support Center through the "Suggestion/Feedback Department". GoldenTiger will be reviewing submissions and making changes that enhance usability and overall site experience. In addition to his work on the site, GoldenTiger will continue to assist with other large projects under GTAPoliceMods, like FR:MP, where appropriate.
As always, we're grateful for the continued enthusiasm and support of our community. Your input and enthusiasm encourage us to continuously improve and innovate, and we can't wait to share even more exciting news with you in the near future. Make sure to stay with us on Discord and look out for our next newswire post, as we'll be discussing even more development occurring within GTAPoliceMods. Until then, happy modding, and thanks for riding along with us on this journey!
