FR:MP Dev Update #1: Mechanics & Overview
We're thrilled to bring you our very first development update for First Response Multiplayer (FR:MP)! As promised, this article covers a broad overview of our upcoming gamemode mechanics and introduces some exciting developments. For anyone who missed our recent Discord Announcement, FR:MP will be released as a standalone FiveM gamemode for everyone to download and enjoy, with continuous updates and enhancements.
We're excited to unveil the brand-new FR:MP landing page—your go-to hub for all FR:MP-related news, latest updates, documentation, and more. The new landing page can be found at fr-mp.com, or by clicking on the "FR:MP" tab at the top of the menu. Special shoutout to @hashbrownfor his amazing in-game screenshot showcased on the landing page!
FR:MP is designed to immerse players in the dynamic role of first responders, delivering intense and realistic gameplay through exciting player-versus-AI scenarios. Our goal is to provide a rich, interactive experience that builds upon the success and legacy of our previous project, FivePD, while significantly enhancing and expanding upon those mechanics.
Key departments and features in FR:MP include:
- Law Enforcement: Patrol streets, conduct realistic traffic stops, arrest criminals, and respond to emergency calls to protect your community.
- Fire & Rescue: Tackle fires, perform rescue operations, and keep citizens safe from hazards.
- Emergency Medical Services: Deliver critical medical care, respond swiftly to emergencies, and transport patients effectively.
Additional advanced features you'll experience:
- Beautiful and Seamless UI: A modern, clean, and user-friendly interface designed to enhance your experience without sacrificing immersion.
- Player vs AI Gameplay: Engage realistically with AI suspects and NPC scenarios, creating unique challenges and dynamic calls.
- Custom CAD System: Streamline your operations and record-keeping with our integrated, customizable Computer-Aided Dispatch system.
- Whitelist & Server Customization: Fully control department access, customize roles, weapons, permissions, and gameplay elements to suit your community’s specific needs.
- Department/Area-Based Callouts: FR:MP can generate location-specific callouts or callouts for specific departments for enhanced realism and variety.
- Robust API System: Extend FR:MP through your own plugins and scripts, leveraging our comprehensive API for maximum flexibility. We will also have a place for developers to upload FR:MP plugins on GPM!
And there's so much more—we're committed to constant improvements based on community feedback and suggestions.
