  3. Recently I've been getting bombarded by community members about @panos_zafabout the content he's been releasing. I was invited to sit in a channel with him and ask him some in-depth questions about himself. Grab your coffee, juice or even adult beverage and have a fancy with this read! When did you first realize you wanted to be a content creator? Good question, I guess a while back I was in a Roleplay Community and the Community Owner started making vehicles for the community, This encouraged me to start making content. I was intrigued to see what it takes to make vehicles let alone anything else. I wanted to help be apart of this with modding. Eventually, I became engulfed with all the possibilities that you can make and come up with. To the point, I liked it so much it became my favorite hobby. How long does it usually take you to create content? This truly depends on how many vehicles I'm looking at making if its a pack or just a single vehicle; with and how much equipment it will include or just if I have to scratch make the part or piece of equipment. It can honestly take a lot of time depending on what I have going on in my life. My San Andreas State Police pack, for example, took me almost a whole month to put together and that's only because I was recycling some parts of the vehicles of my other packs. So some of the modifications were already done. I honestly don't keep track of the time I invest in a pack or single vehicle, However, I can tell you that currently, I use most of my free time creating content for GPM. What would you say is the most interesting part of creating content? Learning! Since the beginning of starting to model I've learned many things, and with that said overtime you do become better at modeling/putting vehicles together. Every time I look back into my older packs I've created, I always think and come up with ways that I can improve them. You start noticing details you would never see before when you first start modeling. Also, I take a look at IRL police equipment (in videos and pictures) and see how they function as you should know how they fit and are used in a vehicle. I am honestly surprised by all the things a police vehicle is equipped with and how each vehicle/department is different by what brand, design, and layout they have; It's personally interesting to see it how things work. What was it like when you first started getting into modding; Compared to now in today's age? What's the biggest change; What do you miss about starting in modding? I think that almost all modelers/modders struggle in the beginning as it is frustrating to be making a vehicle and have a million bugs and issues that you don't know why they occurred or how to fix. I know many people that say it's super easy to learn. That is simply not true. Everyone has struggled. I believe since I've studied in Mechanical Engineering that I had an easier transition into the modeling community since I primarily use and have been trained in Solidworks and Autocad classes. I also know that since University has helped me with understanding modeling, That this is just a game but the basics are the same. So even know I have that small splash of background, I still struggled but I do believe my transition like I stated above was slightly easier into modeling. I remember when I started it was difficult enough for me to even scale down something in ZModeler. I honestly don't miss anything from when I first started because as I simply didn't know a thing or even some of the basics. What encourages and empowers your creative process and juices? Honestly, I just love making stuff and the endless possibilities that you can do, It's my favorite hobby as I stated above and I love sharing my creations as well. I love making custom vehicles for Grand Theft Auto: V as it's something that most game developers forbid modding in some games. If you couldn't create content? What would you personally do? Probably just use other people's creative content and play LSPDFR a bit more often. Do you have any suggestions to help anyone become a content creator? If so, what are they? Never give up!!! Modeling can be frustrating to start with and can take a lot of time. You're always going to have to deal with bugs and issues. Just take your time to learn how to do it properly and correctly. What was one of the most surprising things you've learned in creating your content? It always surprises me how customizable Grand Theft Auto: V can be and the number of things you can modify. You can customize everything and you can do so many things especially when making vehicles. You can make functional drawers in a vehicle so you when you open the trunk the drawer of the cabinet slides out towards the officer/deputy or even just how you can make a sun visor flip and put lights on it. It's just pure creativity and their rock stars when you can think outside of the box and create something. What's your favorite content that you've created or currently working on right now? It's really hard to choose! However, my San Andreas State Police Pack or my Los Santos Police Department with Whelen Liberty packs and the functional visors pack are just three of my favorite creations. I recently scratch modeled a siren controller and I believe it came out better than i was expecting. Currently in the works right now. Working on remaking my LSPD Pack with Whelen Liberty as it's by far my most popular content. However I see a lot of issues I'm working out and correcting e.g. (overscaled light bars and ions, overscaled interior equipment, green ram bars, liveries without mipmapping, horrible spec maps, spotlights mounted improperly and so on...) So I'm dedicated to fixing and re-releasing the corrected version when I believe I've corrected all the imperfections and maybe even add a few more vehicles? This is the updated fleet so far. They're missing the lightbars as I've slowed in development right now. As you can see the two slick tops (UM CVPI and UM/SL 2015 K-9 Tahoe) are done and I believe the rest just need a light bar added to them! Thank you for showcasing me this week! It means a lot to me! - Panos_Zaf

  7. It's what our Chiefs at the time opted for. To be frankly honest I really don't ever recall a time we had a marked Command+ vehicle.

  10. GTA Police Mods GTK Creator Content Meet @Bigams, Knowledgeable, Whiz and Superman. This is what community members have labeled Bigams as to be. I agree. I've recently spoke with him privately and got to get the lowdown on what's in his creative process. What was it like when you first started getting into modding; Compared to now in today's age? What's the biggest change; What do you miss about starting off in modding? I really got into the modding community around a year ago, it seemed pretty cool. At the time, LSPDFR was the main modding hub with no other real contesters to its "rule", I guess you could say. Back then, I remember seeing people like Gump, BradM, Maurice and eventually Krul posting their own stuff, I looked up to them. Now that I've become a developer, primarily releasing outfitted vehicles publicly, I've seen a lot of others like me trying to start doing the same thing. From what I can remember a year ago, it was basically just a set of people that would release good, high quality vehicles and liveries. Especially recently I've seen a lot more people start up, releasing vehicles and liveries within a very wide spectrum of quality and originality. What do I miss? I remember the way I saw the community when I first started out, I thought it was small and tight knit. Now though, it's as if it's exploded with all these new people and it's pretty cool to see. With that though comes conflict. I guess you could say that's what I miss... I was more innocent, in a way. I never realized what was going on, what livery wasn't good, what car wasn't good, this persons that, thats persons this kind of thing. Now that I'm so involved with it all it's really hard to go back. What encourages and empowers your creative process and juices? Originally when I started out I loved everything the community had to offer. However as time went on I began to want to create my own vehicles with my personal light pattern, outfitting etc. Nowadays I continue due to the sheer amount of support I've had from people. If you couldn't create content? What would you personally do? I most likely would've moved on from GTA now. Typically I'm looking for something greater as I find it hard to stick with one thing for a long time. It's one of the reasons I got into development in the first place. In terms of what I'd do, I'd probably be, trying, to do liveries or development for some other game. What's your favourite content that you've created or currently working on right now? Bigams personally prefers his BCSO Tahoe and 2018 Chargers. I invested a bunch of hours into this and I personally believe it's highly rated and well made. Feel free to message me if you have questions or want to ask me questions.
