LSPD Pack with Whelen Liberty

 

" Hello people this time i am bringing you a pretty big update for my LSPD Pack i honeslty fixed so many things compared to the previous version it would be too much to type.

The pack has been redone fixing a lot of issues and adding a couple more vehicles. Light Setups, equipment, are Fictional. Livery is based 

on Alburqueque PD however it is Lore Friendly using the default LSPD Badge.

Vehicles have ELS and Non_ELS takedowns. Unity spotlights are Non-ELS.  Lightbar and Par-46 spotlight Takedowns are ELS."

Note: Extras mentioned above can be toggled using a trainer.

 

 


INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

For easier installation the pack has been mostly made into an addon DLC.

1) Install a custom gameconfig if you dont have one already othewise your game will crash link: https://el.gta5-mods.com/misc/gta-5-gameconfig-300-cars
   (Note: Make sure to install the extra asi stuff required for the gameconfig (heap limit adjuster and pack file adjuster))

 

2) Using OPENIV go to  mods\update\x64\dlcpacks

 

3) Enable edit mode

 

4) Drag and drop the folder named "lspdwhelen"

 

5) Go to mods\update\update.rpf\common\data

 

6) find dlclist.xml 

 

7) Right click on it and click edit 

 

8 ) Above the line </Paths> (EMPHASIS ON THE / it needs to be </Paths> NOT <Paths> and then above not below) add this line: <Item>dlcpacks:/lspdwhelen/</Item>

 

9) Click save

 

10) Now go to mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\patchday21ng\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles.rpf and drag and drop the vehicle files from the "replacement vehicle files" folder (NOTE THIS
    IS AN EXTRA DOWNLOAD FILE (PART2) IT HAD TO BE SPLITED DUE TO FILE SIZE)

 

11) Go to mods\update\update.rpf\common\data\levels\gta5

 

12) Drag and drop the vehicles.meta from the "EXTRA REQUIRED META" folder   (Note: this step is required to fix window tint for police4 also its made to use the correct handling ids etc)

 

13) Go to Grand Theft Auto V\ELS\pack_default

 

14) Drag and drop all the ELS xmls from the els vcf folder

 

15) Launch the game and spawn the vehicles using a trainer or using rage console and enjoy patrolling in a cool LSPD Pack!

 

NOTE:ALL STEPS ARE CRUCIAL FOR THE VEHICLES TO WORK PROPERLY SKIPPING ANY OF THE STEPS WILL RESULT IN THE VEHICLES NOT WORKING PROPERLY!!!

 

 

 


OPTIONAL:

You can make the vehicles spawn as backup by changing a few xml lines 


A) For LSPDFR 0.4 and above (preferably using the custom backup xml from EUP)

   1) Go to Grand Theft Auto V\lspdfr\data\custom and using Notepad++ open agency_eup.xml
   
   2) Under the Agency Los Santos Police Department and in beetween <Vehicles> and </Vehicles> add this lines:

                <Vehicle>police2</Vehicle>
                <Vehicle>police3</Vehicle>
                <Vehicle>police4</Vehicle>
                <Vehicle>police5</Vehicle>
                <Vehicle>police6</Vehicle>

    3) Click save!

    
B) For Ultimate Backup
    
    1) Go to Grand Theft Auto V\plugins\LSPDFR\UltimateBackup and using Notepad++ open Defaultregions.xml
    
    2) Find LOS SANTOS (its the the first few lines after the comments) and beetween <Vehicles> and </Vehicles> add this lines:

Trouble shooting and FAQ:

Q:My game crashes right before loading in after installing the vehicles?

A:This mean you did not do step 1 correctly

 

Q:The vehicles will not spawn. Help.

A:This means that you did not do one of these steps correctly  2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9

 

Q:My lights will Not work. Help.

A:This means that you did not do step 13-14 corectly

 

Q:My windows and lightbar have tint how to fix?

A:Either take the tint off with a trainer or go at you vehicle meta and replace this line under the vehicle slot that has the issue.

(Note you should NOT have this issue if you use the DLC and the extra required meta it comes with)

 

Q:My lights are null or too dim how can i fix it?

A:You need a custom visualsettings.dat for bright emergency lights (for example Radiance V).

Is there a way that we're able to move these vehicles to different slots without changing any of the settings currently on the assigned slots?

Hey, first of all, thanks for a nice pack. However can all of the vehicles be added as addon DLC? Police - Police4 need to be replaced, if I understand correctly

i would highly discourage you from it, however you can always do it by changin the names of the files for example:

 

If you want to make police5 to be in police2 slot you must change the name of the files from police5 to police2 that inclues the .yft files the .ytd file(s) and the ELS xml accordingly.  However be aware of the vehicle meta changes because they may not work in some slots very well or handling may be incorrect (for example if you try to put a charger in the slot of a tahoe the charger will have the handling of a tahoe and it may even tip too easily if you take a sharp corner) . So you will have to change the vehicles.meta as well in some cases. The cases where you can get away with it is if you change a charger for a charger for example (ie take police 9 and put it in the police 2 slot) The same goes for SUVs (with the explorer being an exception because it will always tip if it doesnt have GRESLEY set as a handling ID in the vehicles.meta)

 

 

TL:DR it depends on what vehicle you want to move in what slot its easier to change a charger for a charger or a tahoe for a tahoe

Thank you. I figured that out about an hour ago. I wanted to put cars from POLICE, POLICE2, POLICE3 and POLICE4 to POLICE10 etc... I respectively edited vehicle.meta and other files.
However I run into a different problem with emergency lights. They don't seem to work, only rear brake lights are flashing

Remember for addon police vehicles to work you need the following :

 

- vehicle files ( yft(s) and ytd(s) )   

 

- vehicle.meta line    (make sure they have the appropriate flags suchs as flag law enforcement etc)

 

- carvariation line     (make sure siren settings is set to 1 and NOT 0)

 

- ELS xml                   (the one the vehicle comes with in the download files)    <----------   you probably missed this  if your ELS light do not work make sure you have police10.xml etc in Grand Theft Auto V\ELS\pack_default for the slots you added

Yes basically the way its made is that police - police4 are replacements and you install them like you would install any other replacement vehicles and then police5 - police9 are addons (since GTA only has 4 police slots for LSPD cars by default) you can make replacement vehicles as addons manually. The way to do that is if for example you want to make police4 an addon you do that by renaming the files (.yft .ytd  to a different name (for example "lspdUM")  as well the meta lines etc

 

For addon police vehicles to work you need the following :

 

- vehicle files ( yft(s) and ytd(s) )   

 

- vehicle.meta line    (make sure they have the appropriate flags suchs as flag law enforcement etc)

 

- carvariation line     (make sure siren settings is set to 1 and NOT 0)

 

- ELS xml                   (the one the vehicle comes with in the download files)

 

Albo has a good in depth tutorial on how to make vehicles addons on yt as well as a very usefull tool (modding dlc pack) that makes it a lot easier)

However now you mentioned, I realized what my problem is. I am trying this pack on RageMP server, thus I cannot use ELS. I read the description of the topic wrong, I though it is non-ELS, but I was mistaken.

Thank you for this pack, but I have one annoying problem, when I load the game with Rage Plugin and without LSPD:FR all the cars works like a charm, but when I decid to Load plugin LSPD:FR 0.4.4 the game crashes instantly, if I load the LSPD:FR without this pack i can play normally, so I cant use this pack and LSPD:FR together, can you help me?

usually when the lspdfr rage plugin crashes its not related to vehicles. Issues with vehicles will most likely crash you to desktop it would be helpfull to post your ragepluginhook.log, also it could be that you misspeled something or did something wrong with the backup.xml if you edited that .

I dont know what I did but I managed to fix the issue, thank you for responding. Beautiful pack 11/5 stars.
