PistolRedirect is a ScriptHookVDotNet mod for GTA V that forces the player to switch to a pistol whenever a non-pistol weapon is selected, while still allowing the player to use fists. It also automatically removes any modifications (such as suppressors or extended clips) from the pistol to keep it in its default state.

Installation

1. What does PistolRedirect do?
PistolRedirect automatically switches any non-pistol weapon to a pistol when selected. It also removes any attachments or modifications (e.g., suppressors, extended clips) on the pistol to keep it in its default state.
2. Can I customize which weapons are treated as pistols?
Yes! With version 2.0, you can customize which pistols are allowed by editing the PistolRedirect.ini
file located in your scripts folder. Simply set true
or false
for each pistol to enable or disable them.
3. What pistols are allowed by default?
By default, the mod allows all pistols. You can adjust the allowed pistols by modifying the settings in the PistolRedirect.ini
file.
4. Where do I place the .ini file?
The PistolRedirect.ini
file should be placed in the scripts folder of your GTA V directory along with the PistolRedirect.dll
.
5. How do I change the allowed pistols?
Open the PistolRedirect.ini
file and modify the true
or false
values for each pistol to control which ones the mod allows.
6. What if I want to reset the mod to its default state?
Simply delete the current PistolRedirect.ini
file, and a new one will be created with the default settings, which allow all pistols.
