PistolRedirect by DeputyRyan

PistolRedirect is a ScriptHookVDotNet mod for GTA V that forces the player to switch to a pistol whenever a non-pistol weapon is selected, while still allowing the player to use fists. It also automatically removes any modifications (such as suppressors or extended clips) from the pistol to keep it in its default state.

Features

  • Automatically switches any non-pistol weapon to a pistol, unless fists are selected.
  • Removes any attachments or modifications (e.g., suppressors, extended clips) from the pistol.
  • Maintains balanced gameplay by restricting the player to pistols only.

Installation

  1. Make sure ScriptHookV and ScriptHookVDotNet are installed.
  2. Download and install LemonUI for proper mod functionality.
  3. Place both PistolRedirect.dll and PistolRedirect.pdb into your scripts folder in your GTA V directory.

Usage

  • The mod automatically switches you to the default pistol when any non-pistol weapon is selected.
  • You are still able to select your fists.
  • Any modifications (such as extended clips or suppressors) on the pistol will be automatically removed.

Requirements

  • GTA V
  • ScriptHookV

PistolRedirect FAQ

1. What does PistolRedirect do?

PistolRedirect automatically switches any non-pistol weapon to a pistol when selected. It also removes any attachments or modifications (e.g., suppressors, extended clips) on the pistol to keep it in its default state.

2. Can I customize which weapons are treated as pistols?

Yes! With version 2.0, you can customize which pistols are allowed by editing the PistolRedirect.ini file located in your scripts folder. Simply set true or false for each pistol to enable or disable them.

3. What pistols are allowed by default?

By default, the mod allows all pistols. You can adjust the allowed pistols by modifying the settings in the PistolRedirect.ini file.

4. Where do I place the .ini file?

The PistolRedirect.ini file should be placed in the scripts folder of your GTA V directory along with the PistolRedirect.dll.

5. How do I change the allowed pistols?

Open the PistolRedirect.ini file and modify the true or false values for each pistol to control which ones the mod allows.

6. What if I want to reset the mod to its default state?

Simply delete the current PistolRedirect.ini file, and a new one will be created with the default settings, which allow all pistols.
