Q: Why does it fail to upload to my database?
A: You need to delete your existing departments listing first. Make sure you did step 5 in the installation guide.
Q: How can I change the order the departments are in?
A: Open departments in your phpMyAdmin database, click edit next to the department that you want to move and change the ID number. Lower numbers will appear at the beginning of your CAD.
It is very important that you do not change the department ID number if already have members in your department. It will lock them out of the departments CAD if the ID number they joined no longer exists, and they will be unable to join other departments with a message stating they are already in a department, but they will be unable to access their department to leave it if the ID number they joined no longer exists.
Same thing with reports and ranks. If you change the ID of your department, any reports created before the change will not carry over and will appear under a different department if you assign another department that ID number. So if you want your reports to stay with the department, do change the ID number of the department.
Q: This was created for FivePD 1.1.4. Is it compatible with FivePD 1.2.8?
A: Yes! You must make sure you have a database created and are using "mysql" and not "sqlite" in config.json This will only work with MySQL and not SQlite.. Follow the beginning of BGHDDevelopment FiveM Server + FivePD(V.1.1) - Full Setup/Install Tutorial before installing FivePD 1.2 to see how to setup the database. You will also need to make sure your config.json file has "mysql" at the top and not "sqlite". This will not work with sqlite as sqlite does not use a database..
Q: Can I keep these departments if I upgrade from FivePD 1.1 to FivePD 1.2.
A: Yes, if you use MySQL ant not SQlite. As FivePD 1.2 is a much different version from FivePD 1.1 it is recommended by FivePD's staff that you make a fresh install by deleting your FivePD folder from your server-data folder and downloading the new one. This will not affect your database you created in any way or your server key. So if you want to keep your departments from the previous version, use mysql in config.json and not sqlite and you can use your original server key from the previous install of FivePD. You will still need to launch with XAMPP if you do this. Where sqlite does not use XAMPP., it is required when using mysql. You will also be able to keep your ranks, reports and members as they were as well.
Q: Is this compatible with Ranks SQLs?
A: No. Ranks must be set up for each individual department. Therefore with 18 different departments, there would have to be 18 different ranking lists inside of one Ranks.sql file. I intended this more for players who are playing alone on their localhost where ranks are not needed. I have no plans to make Ranks for this departments SQL.
