I know there are alot of YouTube videos about this, but alot of those are difficult to understand, an sometimes they have you doing more than you need to do, so I'm going to go step by step for those that are getting sick of those stupid gta:sa sounds.

Step 1:You need to find a sound mod. http://gtapolicemods.com/index.php?/...modifications/ Look there for anything you like. This guide can apply to any sound though, Sirens, Horns, Engine sounds, Gun sounds, etc.

Step 2: Download the SAAT Tool @ http://pdescobar.home.comcast.net/gta/saat/ Then Extract it to any folder.

Step 3: Copy and Paste the following files:

    saat_stream

    saat_sfx

    metadata-full

    metadata-generic

To your Main GTA San Andreas folder.

Step 4: Go to your C Drive and make a folder named "TEMP" Without quotes IF YOU DONT DO THIS STEP THE SOUNDS WONT WORK!

Step 5: Go to the Start Menu, in the searc box type cmd and open the application with the Black Box icon next to it (It would be better if you ran it as an administrator)

Step 6: In the Command Prompt, copy and paste this:

    cd C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas

    Press ENTER

    Now, copy and paste this:

    saat_sfx -e audio/SFX/GENRL c:\temp\saat audio/CONFIG\BankLkup.dat

    Press ENTER

Step 7: Go to your TEMP folder and open it up until you get to the Genrl Folder

Step 8: Go to the appropriate folder and replace the sounds in the folder with the modded sounds (The readme in the sound folder should tell you what bank it goes to)

Step 9: Run the command promt again and copy and paste this:

    saat_sfx -i audio\SFX\GENRL c:\temp\saat\GENRL\sfx_import.ini audio\CONFIG\BankLkup.dat.

Press ENTER (You should see the command prompt get flooded with words, this is normal, it's just going over all the files and saving everything)

Step 10: Open your GTA:SA Game and play with your new NOT-boring sounds!

WARNING: It would be in your best intrest to back up your sounds before you change them, or you'll have to reinstall your whole game if there is an issue.

I recommend using ALCI's SAAT GUI. That SAAT is a bit too complex.

lol it makes no Genrl folder??? help pls

Error: Could not match filename audio/SFX/GENRL to a valid sound bank
lookup index; SAAT sfx exporter can currently only correctly export files which
    are
named the same as the original game files because it needs to read length inform
    ation
for some sounds in the archive from the lookup file. Future versions may include
    a way
to specify the index via argument switches or a configuration file.
