Hi lads. I've made a few bits and pieces in ac3d. Was just wondering for ELS should I map the texture while it's in ac3d for the model itself or should I leave it without a texture until I have it in Zmodeler and do all the mapping there for the model and ELS lights?

    Thanks in advance

    Brian

well i dont know what ac3d is but i would say just map the els in zmodeler since zmodeler is made for modding and making things of that nature

Ac3d is like Zmodeler but I find it alot easier to use. You can export as .3ds so basically it would be like a 3ds model. So if I just rephrase the question to the people that use 3ds max do ye add the main model texture in 3ds max or do ye leave all the texturing till zmodeler?

Yes you must map in zmodeler, since autocad isn't able to transfer texture mapping to zmodeler.

What about mapping the model itself (the texture you would see when ELS isn't active/turned on)
