Welcome to the GTAIV Knowledge Base.



The purpose of the GTA:IV Knowledge Base section is for modders of all stripes to share their tips, tricks of the trade, and tutorials in order to assist others and in turn enrich and empower the community. All posts made in this section should be clear, organized, and structured in a professional manner in order to facilitate their reading and finding.



Please note that in order to ensure that all content posted in the GTA:IV Knowledge Base conforms with the standards of the GPM community, all topics started in this section must be approved by forum staff before they can become visible to the public. The GTA:IV Knowledge Base is moderated by the GPM Department of Peripheral Services.



In accordance with the GPM Community Awards Program (CAP), members who post tutorials deemed instructive and relevant may be awarded a CAP support medal. If you feel you deserve a particular support medal but have not received it, do not hesitate to contact GPM Public Relations staff about the issue. In such an event, ensure to provide links to the tutorial(s) you have authored.

How to post a tutorial





OVERVIEW



Before posting please make sure to read PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING and SECTION INFO - if you have not done it yet.

When posting in the Knowledge Base double check your spelling and use of grammar in order to make it as easy as possible for others to understand your explanations. Additionally we implemented a new format which all topics have to follow therewith this section achieves a sense of seriousness and clearness which eases the readability and improves the overview for everyone. While setting up the topic title keep it as short as possible. It should give a brief summary of its content. You can also use the optional description field to add more information about your topic. The following sample shows how to set up the actual topic.

If you made a video tutorial please use this format when posting.

When including images to your post which are wider than 800px please use thumbnails instead of full size pictures.

How to post a video





OVERVIEW



If you made a video please don't use music that is not intended for free of charge use. Elsewise some users will probably have difficulties seeing the video due to license issues.

You should also indicate in the title of the topic that you are made a video tutorial by using an identifier like "(space)(Video)" at the end of the title.

The following example shows how to embed a video uploaded on YouTube. Simply copy and paste the code template below and replace the X's with the Youtube video ID.
