Can't run GTA with mods

I have had GTA for about a year now. I was able to run it with almost every car in game modded. I re-installed my GTA yesterday, now whenever I put a mod in my game freezes after I type my password in on samp. Tried about everything but no luck. Object's don't appear either. I installed the stream memory fix but that dosen't even work. Any suggestions?

Yes it's version 1. Another thing. It works fine in Single Play but dosen't work on samp.

are you on a multi screen setup? sometimes the screen selector dialog stays behind the samp screen which lets the game wait until you select a screen.

No, Just my one screen on my laptop.

I have had this problem before, sometimes you have too many mods installed and your game cannot keep up with them, sometimes if you have weapon mods and you had weapons and you replaced them, that can happen alot, mostly its usuall the weapons, car mods and whatever you have that can cause that problem.

Hmm, I will keep working with it. I installed one mod and it works. All I really wan't modded is my police cars, FD vehicles and a few skins.
