I found the problem stated in the previous topic and fixed it. The TXD Hack was causing the problem. So, after a reinstall of the TXD Hack, the game works fine.

BUT

If gta_sa.set is in place in the GTA San Andreas User Files folder, then the game crashes when entering the menu. When it is not, the game runs fine (w/ TXD Hack Installed).

Now I'd be pleased without that file, but the problem is that it always starts with a resolution of 800 X 600. I want it 1680 X 1024.

Anyone know if how I can use the TXD Hack AND have my settings saved?
