    I'm interested in getting GTA4 for my PC (laptop), and i wanted to know if i could run GTA4 well on a lap top well enough with police car mods. I'm not very good with computers as far as terminology so excuse me if i mistake something or other. But I'm just looking for a fun casual game to get on my computer when i can't bring my xbox along, and GTA4 is awesome, and I'd like to run some of the police cars that I've seen in the videos on youtube, and a few of them brought me here. My laptop is pretty new, i bought it brand new in Feb of this year (2012), it's a Toshiba, with the intel core i7, with windows 7. the specific model is "Satellite P755" any help or info would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

    Welcome to the forums,mate.
    I,for one,generally don't recommend laptops for a heavy and badly ported game such as GTA:IV,but seeing you have an i7,I might not object.But then again,its all your responsibility if IV screws it up.And I hope you know:
    - Laptops aren't as easy to fix as PCs
    -GTA:IV might've proved fun on your 360,but its pain in the *** on PC/Laptops and even more while modding as it gets even more unstable with each mod added.

    But,no worries.We're here to help you anytime.
    Additionally,I'm not seeing any graphic card installed in your set,so I'd recommend you get one.Otherwise,...you know what GTA:IV is.

    There are several submodels of the Satellite P755 though, so it all depends. Some of them have an Nvidia GT540M which MIGHT be able to run GTA 4, but some of them have Intel integrated graphics, which there's a small chance It'll work out good.
    It could probably run it, but It's not like you would be able to have any AA or graphics mods like ENB without lag. Atleast not with any settings to make it look that much better then SA.

    Also, laptops are generally not very good at handling heat, so It could overheat pretty quickly, unless they're built for gaming.
    Which the Satellite model isn't, by reading the description on their site It's built for playing media and business workers.

    Dhruv: You can't/shouldn't change the GPU in a laptop unless you really know what you're doing, which he obviously doesn't.

    yeah a friend of mine was asking me the details about my computer, cause he was trying to help me out as well, and i seen that i have "Intel(R) HD Graphics Family", my Intel is...i7-2670QM CPU @2.20GHz, 4.00 GB Memory Installed, and 64 bit opterating system. I do remember the salesman asking me if i watched a lot of movies online or played games, and at the time i said not really, only cause ive only ever gamed on a xbox 360. I just want to be able to play and do a couple mods as far as vehicles go.

    well i went to the electonics store where my computer was purchased from and they said it would be no problem to run it, just might not be able to run on top graphics spec, and i had more than 1 computer tech say the same thing so that was kinda nice. i bought the game and im going to try it out. i look forward to hangin out on the game and hopefully make new friends! also, what is the process for adding new vehicles/emergency vehicles to the game? again i'm new to this computer game thing. I'm going to check out the game and see how it goes but eventually, sooner than later, id love to add some of the emergency vehicles.

    @Mike: Yeah,I know that,mate.What I actually meant was to "get a graphics card installed in it (by someone else,of course)".You took it too literally I guess? lol.

    @OP: Well,in any case,you'll have to do something or...you're screwed,friend :P

All i could see is street lamps, people walking, and cars near to me, everything else wasn't there. I tried =], never know till ya do. Maybe ill do a more game friendly laptop next time around. Thanks for the help guys!

    Dhruv: First off, it doesn't have a graphics card - it has a GPU only. You can't add something in a laptop - If it's not there It is not built to add, there won't be enough room.
