 Many of you had asked for some things that now are added. Some other things that got added are only for admins and needed stuff for the server.
Members
- New theme that is much nicer looking and not so bland
- Picture of the week section with ability to submit pictures
- Stats moved to your members panel (were your pm's and avatar are) Click the statistics button to see new members and all that stuff. This cleared room for other things.
- RSS feed for iphones, blackberries and all that crap.
- Now works properly with google chrome
- New forum icons and forum blocking
- Fixed search engine now the entire site can be searched with 4+ characters and it will find what you are looking for if the file exists
Admins
- IP cross-ref, now any IP banned will check the database for any other use with the same and ban that account aswell
- New FAQ system (not activated yet)
- Fixed the broken link bug now broken links can be fixed without crashing Xserve
- SQL cleaned up to have a faster connection to the server itself
- Server time fixed to solve windows 7 issues
- Added security due to attempted hacks of the ts server
- FTP connection bug fixed all admins and devs should now be able to upload and download from their domains at gtapolicemods.com/downloads/yourftpuser
- E-Mail spam blocker fixed |

I'm almost done with reconstructing the downloads section, as of right now all I need to do is root through everything and attempt to fix any broken links. Many of you may not know of the new rule that daedaelus has set into place, but here's what it is:
If any member posts ANY THREAD AT ALL in the "Showroom" board, your thread must meet the following requirements:
- Must have at least TWO images of the mod
- Must have a working download link, no exceptions
- ELM compatibility is wanted, but not required
If your thread is a WiP thread, a teaser thread, or a thread with no download links it WILL BE MOVED to the "Work In Progress" board until you provide a working download link (by editing the thread). You will be notified by with a Private Message if this happens.
And due to recent flame wars about credits, if you post a WiP thread and it does not have the proper credits provided in the thread (i.e. you forgot who, too lazy to type them, etc.), but we highly recommend that you post the credits in your final release thread. This is just to prevent unnecessary spam and flame wars. |

The level of sigs on this site are starting to lag people and they are getting far out of control. From this point forward you will be allowed to have 1 image on your sig and it not exceed the following size:
I am sorry if you find this annoying but everyone else finds it annoying to load about 10 sigs of 1 person. Please re-size your sig or make a new one. Anyone found breaking these rules will have their sig removed from their name.
So, just to make it clear, the following are not permitted at all in your signature:
- Images over the size of 430 x 156
- More than one image
- Abusive text or images
- Images that say "Administrator" or any other user group you are not a part of
- Malicious text, code, or images
- Anything else against the TOS
Any harassment about this issue will result in a ban from the site. |
